2009 Edgewood Academy Junior Varsity Football

  • 7-0 record
  • 18 game winning streak from 2007-2009
  • Second season in a row undefeated
  • Out scored our opponents 174-28
  • Had 3 shutouts
  • Rod Boykin (9th grader) leading scorer with 12 TDs & two 2 pt conversions = 76 points
  • Rod (9th Grade, Tailback) had 66 carries for 427 yds and 9 rushing TDs.  He had 6 catches for 179 yds and 3 receiving TDs.
  • John Marck Cosby (9ty grader, WR) leading receiver. 14 catches for 324 yds & 2 TDs. 1 rushing TD Schored 1 TD on a 80 yd interception return.
  • Bailey Hansen (9th grader, fullback and WR) had 18 catches for 246 yds, & 2 receiving TDs. Scored 1 TD on a 20 yd interception return. 
  • Dylan Ingram (9th grader, QB) completed 51 passes on 83 attempts for 966 yds. & 8 TDs. He scored 3 rushing TDs.
  • Leading tackler on defense was BJ Johnson (9th grader, LB) with 35 tackles
  • John Mark Cosby had 4 interceptions
  • We had 18 players on our roster. Due to injury, we played some games with only 15 players dressed out.  We had 5  3 A schools on our 7 game schedule.  Some of the 3A teams had more 9th graders than we had players.
